"Artsongs"

Signed Limited Editions—25% of proceeds benefit MDA

Karen created this collage painting of Mattie Stepanek with his dog, Micah as a donation for the 2006 "Heartsongs Gala"—an annual event held in Mattie's honor. The painting raised $1,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and now you can purchase a limited edition of this inspiring Mattie memorial with 25% of proceeds benefitting the MDA. With the recent release of Mattie's book, Just Peace, the prints and canvases are expected to go quickly!

What's in the artwork?
Following are poetry excerpts from Mattie's books that are featured in this collage painting. Also featured in the painting are photos of Mattie with Oprah, Jerry Lewis, Jimmy Carter, and Mattie's mom, Jeni.

"Every journey begins with but a small step. And every day is a chance for a new, small step in the right direction. Just follow your heartsong."

"Every day, no matter who we are, what we do, or where we are, we must celebrate the gift of life, on earth while we have it, For Ever."

"I will paint rainbows when the spring comes and children will smile and dance in the music of my colors."

"It matters that the world knows we each have a song in our heart."
